SIRAP-BEYOND-THE-POND
ANGIE'S YELLOW BALLOON
(Based on an original plot by fiverr.com/amelia42)
Tika and Angie had already met Shura before,
they had talked to her when
she helped them solve
a little problem last summer, still
they have never met her in person.
»Hmm, I feel like doing something special today,«
Shura said as she twirled the magic wand in her hands.
Just in this moments the girls arrived at
her little cottage made of silver stones and diamonds.
»This is the home of Shura, the famous wizard of Cigolon,«
Kayla said to them and let them climb off her back.
The girls were awed by
the dazzling nature of the cottage.
They rushed straight to the door.
»I wonder what’s it like inside the magical cottage,«
Tika said to Angie.
Shura, who
had been working on a spell,
heard the chatter outside her door and rushed
to open it.
»Finally we meet in person!«
Shura grinned at them.
Tika and Angie smiled at the woman.
She was much younger than they had expected,
had a friendly face and a cute smile.
»They are friends of our Princess,
I brought them to town,«
Kayla warmed up to the wizard.
»You may all come into my house,« she said
and invited them in.
The interior of the house was even more beautiful than
the exterior.
The walls were mirror like, smooth and shiny.
The floor was made of precious stones while
the tables were all covered with magical tapestries.
»You both came at the right time,«
Shura smiled.
»Really?«
Tika raised a brow suspiciously,
wondering what Shura was up to.
She remembered that in this land
adventures suddenly came
out of nowhere. Also
she wondered where her cat was.
A missing cat meant trouble.
The greatest rescue mission in the
history of Cigolon two years ago
was suddenly still fresh in her mind.
»Yes, I’m making us something to eat,«
Shura said, »how about some tasty cake?«
»I love cakes!«
Angie clapped her hands excitedly.
Shura placed a tray before her,
then raised her wand.
»Make. A. Honey. Cake.«
She whispered some magic words.
At once, the wand flew out of her hand.
A bright light spread from it to the rest of
the room.
The girls stared in awe as a trickle of
flour poured out from the wand to form
a very. Huge. Cake.
»Add cherries!«
Shura said to the wand.
Immediately, a dozen cherries poured down on
the magically baked cake.
»So, who's ready to eat?«
Shura asked with a proud smile.
»Me!«
Tika and Angie shouted at once.
»Very well, Kayla, share the cake!«
Kayla, the flying horse grabbed
a knife and cut
huge chunks of cake for Angie, Tika and Betecee, who
had magically appeared again as soon as
the cake was ready.
The girls ate their cake happily,
wondering how a magical cake could taste so nice.
»This is the most delicious cake
I have ever eaten,«
Tika said to Angie.
»Me, too,«
Angie replied with a full mouth.
Afterwards they both thanked Shura for her hospitality.
»This time you must be very careful when
you get to Princess Aniemel's castle,«
the wizard warned them.
»Why is that?«
Angie asked with a puzzled look on her face.
»The princess still wants to be a magician,«
Shura replied,
»so any wish you make may come to pass.«
The girls decided to be careful
once the got there.
They already knew about
the princess, her strong will and
her moods.
They would only wish for
things that are important.
They walked out of the magic cottage
and wave their new friend Shura goodbye.
They left Kayla behind and practiced
their super-jump abilities once more.
It was so much fun!
»I will make a wish for toys,«
Angie said,
»for both my brother and me. I miss him.«
»I will make a wish for more story-books,«
Tika said.
Not much later they arrived at the castle that
they already knew so well from
their previous adventures.
The garden looked even more beautiful
than they remembered it, because
there were now numerous fountains in
different spots all over the park.
»Meeeow!«
Betecee said, continuing in human-ish:
»I have to make a wish...«
Suddenly, before he could finish his sentence,
the huge metallic doors opened and the girls both sauntered in.
»Whoooaa!«
Tika was amazed by the magnificence of the interior.
»Remember? Last time we simply jumped in
through the window, looking for a familiar face,«
Angie murmured.
They kept strolling till they found the
governmental part of
the castle.
Already from afar they saw her
on the throne, wearing a purple
governmental dirndl, a diamond crown and pink shoes.
Neither Carlota, the princess's airdresser,
nor Dee Dee and Doi,
the two royal wardens were to be seen.
»Hey Ho! Hey Ho!
Big blonde lady and the other one,«
the princess called,
»I am the Princess here. And the magician!
Now make your wish..«
»Melanie..?!«
Tika said,
»is it you?«
»Bla bla bla,«
the princess replied,
»now make your wish!«
»I wish to own many story-books,«
Tika said.
»Now you!«
The princess pointed at Angie.
»I wish I owned many toys,«
Angie said.
»You!«
She pointed at Betecee who
cried out »Meeeooww!«,
too surprised to say it in human-ish.
The princess was pleased with
all their wishes
and got ready to grant them.
She rose from her throne and waved at them.
A gentle wind danced into the palace
and a sweet voice began to sing.
Suddenly, Betecee’s legs grew bigger and bigger,
then his arms grew stronger and stronger.
»LOOK!« Tika calls to Angie,
»he's changing into a horse!«
»A black stallion!«
Angie covered her mouth.
The girls were so excited that
their cat's dream could come true, but
they also noticed a frown on Aniemel's face.
»What is it, Princess?« they asked.
»You must go now.
Return to your world's secret entrance
before it closes. Even though I still have
questions concerning our homework,«
but then she pointed at the strong castle doors
that began to come together.
»GO!«
She chased them away.
Tika and Angie climbed on Betecee’s back and
he hurried them out of the castle.
On their way out
they passed Dee Dee and Doi,
the two little wardens who were shocked
at the sight of such an enormous creature.
»Hey Ho! Big blonde lady!«
Dee Dee called, but
none of the three heard him.
As soon as they sat their feet outside,
everything disappeared and
they found themselves back
in another yellow balloon.
This time it descended safely back to
the summer beach house by the sea.
The next morning both girls woke up
feeling happy,
realizing they must have had
the same dream.
»Good morning, my dears,«
Tika's mothers greeted them when
they entered the house,
»I have a little surprise for you.
Your friend Melanie sent you an email,
asking you to come home soon, because
she already misses you.«
»Maybe Melanie...
also had the same dream?«
Tika whispered to Angie.
»You will find out as soon as school
start again next week,«
Angie smiled.
Suddenly there was a loud noise.
»Oh no, this animal!«
Tika's mother called and looked
at her daughter.
»Aniemel?«
Angie and Tika looked at each other,
dumbfounded.
»I bet that was the yellow balloon that Angie
brought you yesterday,«
Tika mother sighed,
»Boots-the-cat, was that you?«
»Meeow,«
came the instant reply.
It would have been too difficult
to explain in human-ish.
