I was newly born

felt like
your smiles
had colored
my shadow at night

I felt like
holding my heart
in my hands
just to keep you safe
the way
that you are,
overwhelmed
to taste your sweetness

I felt like
I was living
a dream
in your breathing
soothing
silence,
lying beside you
on my pillow
I felt the stars
reflect tomorrow
