sunrise with you
 

even though
you can't
be with me now
I see the sunrise
through your eyes,
the smell of fresh air,
stillness from the forrest
beneath relentless
cloudless skies,
our spirits dance
across horizons,
match to form
a golden band,
although
you can't be
with me now
I feel so proud
to be your friend
