July 01, 2000:

Earlier this year a German communication satellite was sent into space on a rocket from Alcantara space station in Brasil.
The satellite management thought it would be fine to have a poem aboard this rocket as a "cultural greeting" for the new millennium.
I'm am absolutely honored that my poem "Jenny" was chosen for this mission.
As it wasn't possible for me to go to Brazil myself I received a certificate personally signed by the CEO of BEOS Space Operators as well as a video of the rocket launch.
My poem was released from a special capsule at a height of 590580 feet (that's 180 km) in the atmosphere above earth where it will remain orbiting until the end of time.

March 06, 2001:

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the World Maritime Museum are sending a sailboat called "Starship" 108.000 km around the world on all seven seas to follow the routes of the world's most famous discoverers Vasco da Gama, Alexander von Humboldt, James Cook and Charles Darwin.
There are scientists aboard to study the ecologic situation in the world's last hidden paradises, to find yet undiscovered life in the seas, explore submarine volcanoes and the basics of life: water.
Clouds, rain, rivers, seas, how all this is affected by the man-made changes in the fragile ecologic system.
To study the sea's currents they will be releasing a bottle every now and then, trying to follow its way around the world until it gets washed ashore somewhere. Presently they are leaving New Zealand, going west.
The next bottle will be realeased from north of St. Helena in the South-Atlantic ocean.
And it will contain my poem "Jenny" as a message.
So now I'm not only in orbit but also on the seven seas and in the most beautiful places on earth...
